EndoCross, founded at Naiot on 2006, is developing the next generation of CTO crossing devices, allowing quick and safe crossing of Chronic Total Occlusions in peripheral and coronary vessels.
Crossing a CTO lesion is a complex & tiring challenge for the interventional cardiologist, suffering from low success rates. EndoCross solution, a simple to operate crossing device, aims to improve clinical outcome (safety and effectiveness of procedure) by generating distal forces at the lesion site.
The catheter is totally disposable, does not require investment in capital equipment and requires a very short learning curve. The company plans to launch the product to peripheral indications first (above and below the knee), followed by a rapid exchange version for coronary applications.
The company received CE clearance and expecting FDA approval for a peripheral indication by the end of 2009. |
