Yoav joined the Ofer Group in January 2006, following eight years tenure with the Yozma Group, Israel's founding venture capital fund (the Ofer Group is a general partner in Yozma), where he served as a partner.
Yoav is responsible for the evaluation of potential investments, as well as negotiations and deal execution process. Post-investment, Yoav is an active board member in selected portfolio companies, working with them to develop and execute their strategies and business plans.
Yoav serves, or served, as an active board member in Cognitens (acquired by Hexagon; STO: HEXAB), Kailight Photonics (acquired by Optium; Nasdaq: OPTM), Impactia Technologies, BeamUps Technologies, Applied Spectral Imaging, Paragon Communications, Pegasus Technologies, Cognifit, Tevet (acquired by NanoMetrics; Nasdaq: NANO), CommonSense, KiloLambda & HyWire.
Prior to joining Ofer Group/Yozma, Yoav gained significant operational and financial experience as an industrial engineer and economist at Israel's largest bank, Bank Leumi, and at a leading consulting firm.
Yoav holds a BSc. in Management and Industrial Engineering, with distinction, from the Technion Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Haifa University Israel.
